Cheerful Cleaning is an owner-run commercial cleaning company in Portland, Oregon. Mark Middleton and Brett Moore are the co-owners, and we run it ourselves. When you call, an owner answers. When we clean, you get the same standard every visit, not a different version of it depending on who shows up.
Why “Cheerful”
A clean space is a cheerful place. That is the whole idea. Not luxury, but relief: your space stops being one more thing to manage, and the room you walk into is simply, calmly, already done.
What owner-run means
It means the people who set the standard are the people you can phone. There is no switchboard between you and the owners, and if something isn’t right you tell us directly. We run this company to keep a small number of promises and keep them every time, rather than to promise everything.
Four promises we keep
Photos after every visit. Our team is trained to one standard, and every visit ends with photos sent to you when we lock up. Look if you want to. Most weeks you won’t need to.
One written standard per site. What gets cleaned, and how often, is written into your quote. The result doesn’t depend on who shows up.
An exact quote. Smaller spaces get a real number over one phone call. Bigger spaces get a walk-through first. Either way it is a price, not a range that moves later. Our pricing page explains how quotes are built. For some clients, we find it best to start with a deep clean, and if that applies to you, we’ll say so in the quote.
A re-clean promise. Tell us within 24 hours and we’ll come back and make it right — free.
Who we work for
Our customers are businesses and the people who manage buildings, usually an office manager, practice administrator, HOA board member or property manager who wants a space looked after without having to watch over it. That means offices, medical and therapy practices, HOA and condo common areas, and schools and childcare centers, cleaned after hours. We also turn over Airbnb and Vrbo units, clean empty units for landlords and property managers at move-out, and do the final clean after a construction project. Where we work
Portland, Beaverton and Hillsboro in Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington. The cleaning itself happens whenever suits you, often early, late or at weekends, so it stays out of your way.
